I am the red cup. I am very red. I am very cup. I am excellent.

This morning, two people wanted me. Both of them. At the same time. This happens more than you'd think.

Mia grabbed my handle. Her hand was small and very sure. I want the red cup, said her hand. Her hand didn't use words. Hands don't. But I understood.

Then Leo grabbed the other side. His hand was also small. Also very sure. Now I had two hands on me. This was not comfortable.

They pulled. I went nowhere. They pulled harder. I still went nowhere. I am good at going nowhere.

Their faces went: Red. Redder. The same colour as me actually. I found this interesting.

They pulled so hard I thought what if I spill? I had orange juice in me. Good orange juice. This felt like important information that nobody was thinking about.

Then Mia let go. Just like that. I don't know why. She doesn't know why. These things happen.

Leo held me. He looked at me for a long time. He took one sip. He put me down on the table very carefully like I was something important. Which I am.

Mia picked up the blue cup. I watched her drink. She didn't look at me. I think she was fine.

I sat on the table. Both hands were gone. The juice was almost gone. The morning kept going. I was still very red. I was still very excellent.

Nothing had changed about me at all.
